freezing cold!!!

When we got here in August China was SO hot and humid! It was crazy. I’d never felt like that before. My hair went crazy and still hasn’t recovered. It does whatever it wants. But now the weather has changed and it’s freezing cold. We had turned off our air conditioners and on our heaters until one day when Mary came to us and told us that we couldn’t turn on the heaters anymore. It had to be less than 0 degrees before we could turn on the heaters. We turned them off for about a week and were all icicles. It was colder inside than it was outside. We felt like we were living in a refrigerator with our cement walls so frozen! It was awful. All I wanted to do was cry. I never could thaw out. I was cold all the time. We went in to Bengbu and bought coats and gloves but that didn’t help much. Then one day we toughened up and told Mary that we were freezing and we had to turn on the heat. And from now on we’re just great.
